At the outset, I would like to thank each of you for your dedication, leadership, and commitment to excellence to raise IIM to greater heights. As you are aware, IIM Foundation Day is celebrated by the IIM Head Office annually on 24th February. From this year, IIM Foundation Day will be celebrated as "IIM National Metallurgists' Day" by every Chapter of IIM. I am pleased to invite you to join IIM Foundation Day and "IIM National Metallurgists' Day" celebrations at Metal House, which will be jointly organised by IIM Head Office and IIM Kolkata Chapter, in commemoration of another year of growth, innovation, and dedication to our mission. This milestone marks a significant chapter in our journey, and we're excited to share it with you.

Dear IIM Members,

We indeed feel a sense of triumph in informing that a dynamic IIM Online Membership Directory is now live @IIM website. It is made readily accessible to all Categories of Members.

The ideas of creating a Membership Directory has been conceived by IIM Management since quite some time, which finally has taken shape after rigorous planning and placing of appropriate data and information.

We would request you to browse through https://member.iim-india.net/ to get a feel of the flow & components of the online DIRECTORY.

The login panel for members have been segregated amongst the following broaden categories in https://member.iim-india.net/

• IIM Chapters
• IIM Individuals / Organizations [ Patron, Donor, Sustaining [LS & SS]
• IIM Individuals [ Honorary, Fellow, Ordinary, Life, Professional, Associate]
• IIM Students [ Regular & Affiliate]

Login Credentials [ While logging in for the first time]

• The username and password for Chapter Login shall be available from administrator panel.
• The username and password for the other Categories is the membership number.However a member may change one's password after the first login.
• A profile password tab shall pop up while logging in for the first time. You may create & save your profile password , which may be confirmed while accessing your profile details in the later run.

Primary Features of the Membership Directory

• Details of a Members wrt Name, Correspondence & Permanent Address,Contact details, Affiliation, Educational Qualifications & provision for uploading photographs are the various fields created.
• Basic & Advanced Search options with specified keywords have been enabled in all categories of Membership.
• IIM Members shall be entitled for accessing the soft version of monthly IIM Metal News & IIM Transactions.
• An email template has also been designed and made available to the Members for any escalations related to usage/system.
• All databases & back end operations related to the online directory shall be administered by IIM Head Office.
• Going forward, for encouraging member interaction participation and interaction, the directory would feature calendar of Events , seminars and social events
• We are in the constant process of retrieving data & co-ordinates from Members , for making it foolproof.
• New Members may also opt for access to Member Directory.
• We shall upload the User Manual soon for ease of fucntioning& understanding at your end.
• The online portal shall be mobile phone compatible.

We assure you confidentiality of data a nd information. An User policy shall be shortly drafted & uploaded in the portal.
